At an extended government meeting, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov presented promising projects for deep processing of agricultural products.

Thus, in the Kostanay region, a project is being implemented to process wheat with the production of starch products and bioethanol worth $132 million.

A corn processing plant with a capacity of 150 thousand tons will open in the Turkestan region this year.

A project has also been launched to build a plant for deep processing of wheat and peas with a capacity of 320 thousand tons of starch, gluten and fructose syrup in Astana.

In addition, in the North Kazakhstan region in 2025, it is planned to launch a sunflower seed processing plant with a capacity of 1,200 tons per day.

A number of investors have expressed interest in implementing projects for the industrial processing of hemp. Several companies have already been granted licenses to cultivate it, which will eventually produce cold-pressed oil, animal feed, fertilizer and fiber.
