Kazakhstan to increase concessional lending to farmers up to 140 billion tenge 02.02.2022 в 12:04 195 просмотров

The Republic of Kazakhstan plans to increase funding for spring field work under the Ken Dala program to 140 billion tenge for growing crops and producing foodstuffs. Yerbol Karashukeev, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced this at a government meeting.

“In order to carry out activities to support the subjects of the agro-industrial complex, an increase in concessional lending to farmers from the republican budget through the Ken Dala program in the amount of up to 140 billion tenge is being worked out for growing crops, including for the production of early vegetables and socially significant food products,” said Erbol Karashukeev.

According to him, the issues of providing agricultural producers with cheaper diesel fuel for spring field work are also being resolved.

In addition, the minister recalled that in order to ensure physical accessibility and stabilize prices for socially significant foodstuffs, non-tariff regulation of the export of goods is being taken. In particular: quantitative restrictions on the export of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil until July 1, 2022; a ban on the export of potatoes and carrots for a period of three months; a ban on the export of live cattle and small ruminants for a period of six months. A ban on the export of grain forage is introduced.

“The possibility of organizing the supply of imported fruits and vegetables during the off-season is being explored. In order to stabilize bread prices, since the beginning of this year, subsidies have been introduced for the cost of grain sold by the Food Corporation to the regions for the production of social bread,” Yerbol Karashukeev said.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to calculate the volume of production and consumption of agricultural products and, if necessary, introduce export restrictions.

“First of all, we must ensure the saturation of the domestic market,” the head of government stressed.
