Russia "froze" the export of ammonium nitrate for two months 02.02.2022 в 15:06 282 просмотра

From February 2, Russia introduces a two-month ban on the export of ammonium nitrate.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, this measure is intended to ensure the successful implementation of the 2022 sowing campaign in the Russian Federation, as well as the uninterrupted operation of enterprises in the industrial sector.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade told Interfax that at the moment the allocated quota is 744 thousand tons, of which 370 thousand tons have already been exported. The adopted decision will not have a serious negative impact on the total volume of exports, since the size of the annual quota remains unchanged.

Recall that from December 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022, the Russian Federation introduced quotas for the export of nitrogen and complex nitrogen-containing fertilizers. The total volume of exports of nitrogen fertilizers from the Russian Federation for the period of restrictions will not exceed 5.9 million tons, complex - no more than 5 million tons.
