The Head of Government noted that the timely and high-quality conduct of spring field work is one of the most important tasks, since this issue relates to ensuring the country's food security.

“At the moment, the global trend of rising prices and demand for agricultural products is increasing in the world. In this regard, an important task is to ensure both domestic consumption and the export potential of agricultural products,” A. Smailov said.

Thus, the total sown area will be 23.1 million hectares, which is 125 thousand hectares more than in 2021.

“Agrarians need to increase the areas of crops with the highest demand, providing priority funding. At the same time, it is necessary to pay special attention to the sowing of highly profitable export-oriented crops,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.

In total, according to regional akimats, 658.7 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers are planned for the current year, which is 32.2 thousand tons more than last year. Under the pesticide subsidy program for 2022, 31.7 billion tenge is provided, which will ensure the processing of sown areas by 100%.

The Prime Minister stressed that subsidies for the purchase of fertilizers and pesticides remain at the same level - 50% of the cost. Also, within last year's limits, subsidies for the purchase of seeds, priority crops handed over for processing, and water supply services will continue.

In order to increase the level of technical renovation, the Government will increase the volume of investment subsidies and subsidizing the interest rate on loans and leasing.

In preparation for the spring field work, A. Smailov gave a number of specific instructions.

In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture and akimats should diversify agricultural land with the sowing of the required volume of socially significant and fodder crops. Also, work with producers of mineral fertilizers on the issue of providing the domestic market with priority.
