Kazakhstan will not impose restrictions on wheat exports 15.03.2022 в 09:54 257 просмотров

Kazakhstan has enough wheat and flour to meet domestic needs and close export contracts. No export restrictions are currently planned. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeev.

Wheat reserves in Kazakhstan today amount to 7.4 million tons, of which 6 million tons are food wheat. In addition, there are 144,000 tons of flour, which, according to the minister, will be enough for domestic consumption for about 300 days.

“We have always provided ourselves with wheat, flour and pasta in all years. There are 6 million tons, this is not only enough for domestic needs, we will also supply and fulfill all our contractual obligations for the export of grain to our export markets,” Yerbol Karashukeev said.

He stressed that the situation with grain and other food products in Kazakhstan is completely stable.

Recall that Russia has imposed a ban on the export of wheat to the EAEU countries, including Kazakhstan. Following this, wheat prices in Kazakhstan went up, increasing from 122 thousand tenge/ton to 128-130 thousand.
