KTZ is expanding the geography of supplies from China. This was reported by the press service of the company Rail-news. KTZ's subsidiary, KTZ Express, and the Chinese Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express have reached an agreement on jointly organizing and sending container trains through Kazakhstan, including along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITM), APK News agency reports.
The agreement was signed in the city of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province (PRC), where Deputy Chairman of the Board for Logistics of NC KTZ JSC Erlan Koishibaev met with the heads of the Department of Transport of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the largest state trade group in the province, Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group. This group includes 380 enterprises, including the logistics platform Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express, which annually sends more than 2 thousand trains in western and eastern directions.
At the beginning of the year, Yuxinou and KTZ organized a joint service via TMTM from Nanjing (PRC) to Absheron (Azerbaijan) with delivery times on average up to 18 days.
It should be noted that Jiangsu province, with a population of 85 million people, ranks second in China in terms of economic development. At the end of 2023, the region’s GDP reached $1.8 trillion. Jiangsu is a cargo-generating region that provides 15% of all Chinese industry and 3% of global industry.
Let us recall that at the beginning of 2024, KTZ agreed with the logistics platforms of Xi’an, Jiangsu, Beijing, Zhengzhou, and Chongqing to organize and send 3,500 transit container trains through the territory of Kazakhstan. This will be about 350 thousand twenty-foot equivalent.
