Kazhydromet presented an advisory weather forecast for May. Hot weather is expected in the middle and end of the month. The amount of precipitation is predicted to be around normal in most parts of the republic, above normal in the far west of the country, below normal in the southern and central regions of Kazakhstan.
According to the forecast, during the first ten days of May, unstable weather is expected in most parts of the country; frequent rains, at times heavy, with thunderstorms, squally winds and hail are forecast on some days. At the beginning and in the middle of the decade in the north, center, east, in the mountainous and foothill regions of the republic, rain is expected at night, turning into snow.
In the first ten days the air temperature is expected to fluctuate:
- in the northwest, north, center, east of the country at night from -5+3°С to +2+10°С, during the day from +5+13°С to +20+28°С;
- in the southern half of the country - at night from -3+5°С to +8+15°С, during the day from +13+23°С to +25+30°С;
- in the west of the country at night from +8+18°С to -3+7°С, during the day from +18+25°С to +8+15°С.
In the second and third decades of the month, with intensive removal of warm air masses from the regions of Iran, a gradual increase in air temperature is predicted:
- in the north, center, and east of the republic at night up to +10+18°C, during the day up to +25+35°C;
- in the southern half at night up to +15+23°C, during the day up to +30+40°C heat.
On some days of the second and third ten days of May, with the passage of atmospheric fronts, rains with thunderstorms are expected, a slight drop in heat - in the northern, central and eastern regions during the day up to +15+25°С, in the southern +20+28°С.
In May, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 1-2° above normal in most of the republic, near normal in the western regions of the country.
