Multidirectional dynamics in grain prices are observed in Kazakhstan. The domestic price of 3rd and 4th grade wheat has noticeably decreased. The export price of feed has increased. Barley has risen in price by $35 per ton, the APK News agency reports.

According to the research bureau "Grain and Oilseeds. Kazakhstan", which was provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, by mid-December the price of 3rd grade wheat in Kazakhstan "sagged". The price fell from 2 thousand tenge to 17 thousand tenge, depending on the gluten.

As of December 16, it averages:

88 thousand tenge for grade 3 wheat with gluten from 28% (a decrease of 17 thousand tenge per ton),
64 thousand tenge for grade 3 wheat with gluten up to 25% (a decrease of 2 thousand tenge),
52 thousand tenge for grade 3 wheat with gluten up to 23% (a decrease of 11 thousand tenge per ton).

Grain of grade 4 is traded at an average of 50 thousand tenge. The price decrease over the week was 7 thousand tenge per ton.

Wheat of grade 5 has not changed its price indicator and costs 48 thousand tenge.

Meanwhile, barley has risen in price by 2 thousand tenge and is estimated at 52 thousand tenge per ton.

"According to traders, demand for class 3 is limited," analysts noted in their information.

The bulletin notes that the export price of grain has increased.
In particular, at the Saryagash crossing, class 4 wheat has risen in price by $5 per ton, class 5 wheat by $10, and barley by $35.

The price of hard wheat in Kazakhstan has not changed over the week. It costs from 85 thousand tenge to 102 thousand tenge per ton. This is the price with VAT from the elevator.
