Record grain harvest, growth in gross output, high figures for equipment acquisition on lease. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan summed up the results of its work for 2024, the APK News agency reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2024, farmers harvested a record grain harvest - 26.7 million tons of grain, including 19.8 million tons of wheat and 3.2 million tons of oilseeds, 1.3 million tons of sugar beets. They also harvested 563 thousand tons of rice, 2.9 million tons of potatoes, 3.9 million tons of vegetables, 300 thousand tons of cotton.

“This is the result of state support, a high level of preparation for field and harvesting work,” the department reported.

The volume of investments in fixed capital of agriculture for 10 months of 2024 amounted to 829.8 billion tenge, of which:
- in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 694.7 billion tenge,
- in food products - 135.1 billion tenge.

The volume of gross agricultural output increased by 13.4% and amounted to 7.8 trillion tenge.

Food production for 11 months increased by 2.1% and amounted to almost 3 trillion tenge.

The domestic market is 100% or more supplied for 10 commodity items. These are wheat flour, salt, bread, rice, pasta, sunflower oil, potatoes, lamb, beef, carrots.

Availability of 14 food products is 80% or more - chicken eggs, cucumbers, horse meat, tomatoes, milk, buckwheat, cabbage, peppers, pork, onions, table beets, fermented milk products, butter and apples.

For the wintering period of 2024-2025, 50.2 million tons of feed have been prepared.

As part of the program for replicating the experience of North Kazakhstan region, 65 projects with a capacity of 300 thousand tons of milk per year will be commissioned by the end of 2024.

The number of lending areas under the program for replicating the experience of North Kazakhstan region has been increased to 13.

A preferential leasing program has been launched for 120 billion tenge at 5% per annum. As of December 1, 2024, farmers purchased 9,887 units of equipment on lease for 212.9 billion tenge, an increase of 50%.

The volume of preferential lending for spring sowing and harvesting works in 2024 amounted to 580 billion tenge. In 2025, it is planned to increase it to 700 billion tenge. On November 29, 2024, financing of spring sowing and harvesting works in 2025 began. 100 billion tenge have already been allocated for lending to farmers under the Ken Dala-2 program for the 2025 season. Applications have been accepted from 851 enterprises for a total of more than 131 billion tenge, 334 of which have already received financing for a total of over 58.9 billion tenge.

178 investment projects worth 145.3 billion tenge have been commissioned. The volume of investments in fixed capital of agriculture for 10 months of 2024 amounted to 829.8 billion tenge.

More than 1,748 unscheduled land inspections were conducted on a territory with a total area of ​​2.8 million hectares. Based on the inspection results, 1,342 orders were issued to eliminate violations of land legislation on an area of ​​2.2 million hectares. Based on previously issued orders, the development of 311.3 thousand hectares of agricultural land has begun. Court proceedings are underway to seize unused land on an area of ​​200.4 thousand hectares. Based on the results of the work done since the beginning of the year, more than 2 million hectares of land have been returned to state ownership, which made it possible to fulfill the 2024 plan ahead of schedule.
