According to weather forecasts, in April the temperature background is expected to be high in the north, west and center of the country, World of NAN reports citing Kazhydromet.
Warming will contribute to the active melting of snow in the fields and may lead to the drying of the top layer of soil, with short-term precipitation. In this connection, Kazhydromet named the optimal sowing dates for spring grain crops for different regions of the country.
In Kostanay, Akmola, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions, spring sowing is recommended in the first and second decades of May. For the Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions, weather forecasters named the first and second decades of May as the optimal time, in the Urzhar region of the East Kazakhstan region the end of April. In the southern regions, weather forecasters advise starting field work in mid-March and early April, in the foothills in early May.
