Based on the results of 9 months of 2022/23 MG (September – May) Tajikistan remains in second place in terms of wheat imports from Kazakhstan, second only to Uzbekistan.
According to APK-Inform with reference to official statistics, during this period Kazakhstan exported 804.5 thousand tons of wheat to Tajikistan (including 67 thousand tons in May).
For 9 months of last season, Tajikistan purchased 667 thousand tons of Kazakh wheat, while the May deliveries were almost the same (about 67 thousand tons).
Recall that in the spring of this year, 39 commercial contracts and agreements worth more than $1.8 billion were signed during the Kazakh-Tajik business forum. The signed export agreements, in particular, provided for the supply of wheat and sunflower oil.
