In the first decade of June, the conditions for the growth and development of spring cereals due to the uneven distribution of precipitation were satisfactory.
The review of RSE "Kazhydromet" notes that during the first ten days of summer, the largest amount of precipitation fell in the North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Aktobe regions, in the rest - less than normal.
During the reporting period, a phase of development was recorded on spring wheat crops:
- in the West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions - "3rd leaf" - "appearance of the lower stem node", in the vicinity of the Fedorovka agropost - "earing", the condition of plants is everywhere good, the height of wheat reaches 10-27 cm;
- in Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions - "shoots" - "tillering". The height of the plants is 10-17 cm . The condition of the fields is generally good and satisfactory;
- in Karaganda and Ulytau regions - "shoots" - "exit into the tube", the height of wheat is 9-21 cm. In the vicinity of MS Osakarovka, damage to spring wheat by bread fleas up to 11-20 was noted%;
- in the East Kazakhstan and Abai regions, where early harvesting is predicted - "tillering" - "the appearance of the lower stem node", the height of plants reaches 13-16 cm. The fields are treated with herbicides against weeds.
In the south of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winter wheat has a phase of "flowering" - "milk ripeness", in Zhambyl region - "wax ripeness". The height of the plants ranged from 71 to 79 cm, in the Turkestan region up to 88 cm. The condition of the crops is generally good and satisfactory. Note that meteorologists predict the yield of winter wheat within the average annual values.
In the second decade of June, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation, there were satisfactory conditions for the growth and development of spring cereals.
In particular, during the reporting period, the largest amount of precipitation was recorded in North Kazakhstan, where the harvest is expected at last year's level, in the northern part of Kostanay, Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe regions. Less than normal precipitation fell in the rest of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The spring wheat phase was observed:
- in the West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions - "tillering" - "earing", the condition of the plants is good and satisfactory, the height of wheat is 20-43 cm;
- in Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions - "3rd leaf" - "tillering", in some fields "exit into the tube". The height of the plants is 10-23 cm . In Egindykolsky, Burabaysky districts, up to 10% of the area was damaged by bread fleas. In the Astrakhan region, 11-20% yellowing of the leaves of the lower tier of wheat was noted. In the Pavlodar region, due to the lack of moisture and high temperatures, barley did not rise in places;
- in the Karaganda and Ulytau regions - "the 3rd leaf" - "the appearance of the lower stem node", In the Ulytau region, the exit into the tube" - "earing". In the vicinity of the Kievka weather station, premature drying of spring wheat up to 11-20% is noted, the field area covered by damage is 99%;
- in the East Kazakhstan and Abai regions - "the 3rd leaf" - "the appearance of the lower stem node". The height of wheat is 13-33 cm, the condition is excellent and good;
- in Almaty, Zhetysu, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions - "tillering" - "milk ripeness", in Zhambyl region - "full ripeness".
In the third decade of June, generally satisfactory conditions for the growth and development of spring cereals in the grain-growing regions of the country. Precipitation in the north, east, southeast and in some places in the west of the republic slightly improved soil moisture.
Chemical treatment of weeds with herbicides, as well as against pests and diseases, has been started everywhere.
By the end of the month, the grain development phase:
- in the western regions - "exit into the tube" – "flowering", in some areas - "wax ripeness";
- in the northern - "tillering" - "earing";
- in the center and in the east - "tillering" - "earing", in some areas - "flowering".
Spring barley harvesting has started in the south of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In general, the wheat harvest in the country is projected to be within 16 million tons.
