To date, more than 5.4 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested in Kazakhstan. With an average yield of 14.7 c/ha, almost 8 million tons of grain have been threshed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Wheat has been harvested on an area of 3.7 million hectares, with a yield of 14.2 c/ha, 5.4 million tons have been threshed, barley - 1.2 million hectares, with a yield of 15.8 c/ha, 1.9 million tons have been threshed, oats - 99.4 thousand hectares, with a yield of 14.7 c/ha, 145.9 thousand tons have been threshed,” the department reported.
Oil crops have been harvested from an area of 67.3 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 10.2 c/ha, 68.6 thousand tons have been threshed.
In addition, over 1 million tons of potatoes were harvested from an area of 41.1 thousand hectares with a yield of 260.4 c/ha, vegetable crops were harvested from 77.4 thousand hectares, with a yield of 242 c/ha, almost 1.9 million tons were harvested.
Melons were harvested from an area of 92.4 thousand hectares, with a yield of 252.9 c/ha, the gross harvest exceeded 2.3 million tons.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 149.9 thousand tractors, 37.6 thousand grain harvesters, 14.9 thousand reapers and 195 thousand units of other equipment were involved in the harvesting campaign.
