The Food Corporation has set prices for grades 4 and 5 wheat and barley from the 2024 harvest under the forward purchase program.
The following prices have been set:
- Grade 4 wheat (gluten 21%+) - 75 thousand tenge with VAT;
- Grade 4 wheat (gluten 18%+) - 65 thousand tenge with VAT;
- Grade 5 wheat (gluten 18%+) - 60 thousand tenge with VAT;
- Grade 2 barley (natural weight not less than 650 g/l) - 50 thousand tenge with VAT.
Agricultural products are accepted for the amount of advance payment at licensed grain receiving enterprises that have been determined by the Food Corporation.
“We draw attention to the priority of accepting grade 3 wheat under concluded forward purchase contracts. In the absence of class 3 wheat, it is allowed to replace it with lower class wheat, provided that supporting documents are provided,” the Food Corporation reported.
Class 3 wheat is necessary for the annual refreshment of the state food reserve. The volume of class 3 wheat purchased by the Food Corporation is used to stabilize bread prices for flour mills.
The company also noted that agricultural producers who have fulfilled their obligations to supply class 3 wheat on time can apply for financing of spring field work within the framework of the early forward, which begins in December of this year.
