As of October 17, more than 16.4 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops, or 98.6% of the area, have been harvested in Kazakhstan. With an average yield of 15.7 c/ha, over 25.8 million tons of grain have been threshed, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Wheat has been harvested on an area of 13 million hectares, with a yield of 14.9 c/ha, 19.4 million tons have been threshed. Barley - 2.2 million hectares, with a yield of 17.6 c/ha, 3.9 million tons have been threshed; oats - 190 thousand hectares, with a yield of 17.1 c/ha, 325.6 thousand tons have been threshed.
Oil crops have been harvested on 1.5 million hectares. 1.6 million tons have been threshed with an average yield of 10.7 c/ha.
Also, farmers in Kazakhstan harvested more than 2.6 million tons of potatoes, more than 3.2 million tons of vegetables, 2.6 million tons of melons.
The harvesting campaign involved 149.9 thousand tractors, 38.7 thousand grain harvesters, 14.9 thousand reapers and 195 thousand units of other equipment.
The volume of preferential financing for spring field and harvesting work in 2024 amounted to 580 billion tenge, which is almost three times more than in previous years.
