The subsidiary of the Food Corporation, Astyk Koimalary LLP, provides its own elevator capacities to ensure the acceptance and safety of grain from agricultural producers, the APK News agency reports.
As reported by the Food Corporation, the total capacity of four licensed grain bases located in the Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions is 491.7 thousand tons. Today, these elevators store 314 thousand tons, including grain and legumes of the Food Corporation in the amount of 139.8 thousand tons. Thus, producers can place 177 thousand tons of grain in the elevators of the Food Corporation.
In total, there are 191 private licensed grain storage facilities in the country, which have the right to issue grain receipts to agricultural producers. The total capacity of these grain bases reaches 13.2 million tons.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the total capacity of all grain storage facilities in the republic is 30 million tons. At the same time, licensed grain storage facilities are loaded by 42% and can additionally store 7.6 million tons of grain.
As for the main grain-growing regions, the indicators of free capacity here are as follows: in the Akmola region - 2.5 million tons of free elevator space, in the North Kazakhstan region - 1.6 million tons, in Kostanay - 1.6 million tons.
According to the results of the 2024 harvesting campaign, 26.6 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were collected in Kazakhstan.
