
Akmola freight transportation department formed five grain export routes in January. As part of this work, attention is paid to organizing routes in the direction of Central Asia, China and the port of Aktau, the press service of the national company reported.
According to KTZ, in January, Akmola railway workers transported 696.7 thousand tons of cargo, including 512.8 thousand tons of grain (7,478 cars). Of the total volume, 94.1 thousand tons were transported within the country, and 418.6 thousand tons were exported.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that 5.3 million tons of new crop grain have been exported in Kazakhstan since September, and another 1.4 million tons have been transported within the country. Export volumes in the current season have increased by 48.3%.
In particular, 2 million tons (+34.9%) were sent to Uzbekistan, 789 thousand tons (+47%) to Tajikistan, 679 thousand tons to China, and 235 thousand tons (+37%) to Afghanistan. Deliveries to Iran increased 20 times and reached 644 thousand tons, and to Azerbaijan - 79 times, up to 319 thousand tons. In addition, 352 thousand tons of flour were transported in January and 16 days of February, including 238 thousand tons of exports. In 2024, 2.4 million tons of flour were exported, with an increase of 3% compared to the previous year. The main countries importing flour are Central Asian countries, China, Afghanistan and others.
