According to customs data, against the backdrop of quotas and export duties, Russia has reduced the export of grain.

In particular, from the beginning of 2021-22 MY to January 19, the Russian Federation reduced grain exports by 39%, compared to the same period of the previous season, to 18.8 million tons. Export of wheat y/y decreased by 40% - up to 16 million tons.

At the same time, the SovEcon Analytical Agency predicts that due to the reduction of the export duty to 95.8 dollars per ton from the current 97.5, grain exports in January will increase to 2.7 million tons, wheat - up to 2.4 million tons.

In turn, the US Department of Agriculture - USDA in the January report lowered the forecast for Russian wheat exports m / m in 2021-22 MY by one million tons - to 35 million tons.
