Kyrgyzstan cuts purchases of Kazakh flour by half

Kyrgyzstan, which increased the purchase of Kazakh wheat for 2021 by 10.9%, reduced the import of flour from Kazakhstan by almost half.
Recall that last year the Kyrgyz Republic zeroed out VAT on imported wheat.
According to the National Statistical Committee, during the reporting period, the Kyrgyz Republic imported 52 thousand tons of flour, 96% of which is of Kazakh origin - 49.9 thousand tons.
In addition to exports, Kazakhstan supplied 10,000 tons of flour to the Kyrgyz Republic as humanitarian aid.
According to statistical data, in January-November, the Kyrgyz Republic purchased flour for $13.6 million.
