In the spring, weather forecasters predict more days with a positive air temperature anomaly. In March and April the air temperature is expected to be above the norm, in May it will be near the long-term norm. This is reported in the forecast of Kazhydromet.
It is noted that in March, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 1-2 degrees above the norm in most of the republic, near the norm in West Kazakhstan, in the north-west of Atyrau region.
In April, the air temperature is expected to be above the norm by 1 degree in almost the entire territory of the country, near the norm - in West Kazakhstan, in most of East Kazakhstan, in the south-east of Almaty region.
“However, in the spring, the weather can bring winter surprises, because in the transitional season, synoptic processes are extremely unstable. With the influx of cold air masses, blizzards with snowfall can also roam, mainly in the northern regions, and with arctic intrusions of anticyclones, frosts are likely in the southern regions,” forecasters say.
In May, the monthly average air temperature in most of the republic is expected to be near the long-term norm. However, in a number of regions in May days, the air temperature is more often expected to be below the climatic norm by 1 degree - in the northern, central and eastern regions of the country. It is assumed that this will be due to the influx of cold air masses from the regions of Siberia.
The amount of precipitation in March is predicted to be near the norm in most of the republic, more than the norm in the northwestern part of Kazakhstan.
In April, precipitation is expected to be less than the norm in most of the republic, near the norm - in the west, in the far north of the country, in the southeastern half of the East Kazakhstan and Almaty regions, in the mountainous, foothill regions of the Turkestan and Zhambyl regions.
In May, the amount of precipitation is expected to be near the norm in most of the republic, less than the norm in Kyzylorda, in most of Turkestan, Kostanay, in the western half of the Karaganda region, in the northwestern half of the Zhambyl region, in the extreme southeast of the Aktobe region.
