The head of state heard a report on the current state of the country's agro-industrial complex and tasks for 2022. Particular attention was paid to measures to ensure food security and reform the industry, the press service of Akorda reports.
Yerbol Karashukeev informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the fulfillment of his instructions, including those related to preparations for spring field work. The Ministry double-checked the availability of fuels and lubricants, fertilizers, stocks of seeds and the readiness of equipment from farmers. The President made a decision to double the amount of funding. According to the minister, the industry is now ready for spring sowing.
Along with this, the Head of State got acquainted with the steps aimed at improving the systems of state support for the agro-industrial complex and veterinary medicine, and developing personal subsidiary plots.
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions to ensure food security, promote domestic goods to new markets, develop agricultural science, and conduct quality spring sowing. The President also pointed out the need to strengthen control over the processes of rational land use and the return of unused lands.
