The US Department of Agriculture - USDA in the April report, leaving unchanged the assessment of wheat and barley production in Kazakhstan in the current season, reduced the forecast for grain exports.
In particular, estimates of deliveries to foreign markets m/m have been lowered
- wheat for 400 thousand tons - up to 7 million tons;
- barley per 100 thousand tons - up to 600 thousand tons.
Recall that Kazakhstan introduced restrictions on the export of wheat and flour until June 15, 2022.
The forecast for domestic consumption has been corrected upwards due to the use for forage purposes:
- wheat - by 200 thousand tons, up to 6.2 million tons;
- barley - by 100 thousand tons, up to 2.2 million tons.
By the end of 2021-22 MY, wheat stocks by American experts have also been increased by 200 thousand - up to 1.4 million tons. According to the International Grain Council IGC, stocks in the Republic of Kazakhstan are forecast at 0.7 million tons.
Earlier, American analysts estimated the decline in exports of Kazakh flour in the current MY, compared to the previous season, by 21%.
