According to the monitoring of the Russian Grain Union, from the beginning of MY 2021-22 to May 23, grain exports from the Russian Federation, compared to the same period last season, decreased by 20%, amounting to 38.5 million tons.
Including during the reporting period, wheat exports decreased y/y by 11% - to 34.15 million tons.
The Interfax agency clarifies that, according to the forecasts of the department, by the end of the season, the Russian Federation can export another 6 million 435 thousand tons of grain, including 850 thousand tons of wheat.
The monitoring reports that over the past week, the maximum amount of wheat sent to the Russian Federation:
to Iran, which plans to increase the import of Russian grain three times - about 70 thousand tons;
to Israel - 40 thousand tons;
to Georgia, where, according to the latest data, there is an acute shortage of wheat - 3 thousand tons.
At the same time, 14 thousand and 36 thousand tons were exported to the main buyers - Egypt and Turkey, respectively.
