8.6 million tons of grain have been harvested in Kazakhstan 05.09.2022 в 11:58 200 просмотров

As of September 4, 7 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Kazakhstan, 8.6 million tons of grain were harvested. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

In total, 43.7% of the grain area was harvested. The average yield is 12.2 c/ha. For comparison, on the same date last year, the average yield was 7.8 c/ha.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, it is planned to harvest about 18.3 million tons of grain this year, including 13.4 million tons of wheat. Taking into account the good harvest and large shifting grain residues, the Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy decided to lift restrictions on the export of grain and flour from September 10.

The day before, the Ministry of Agriculture also reported that large-scale forest fires in the Kostanay region practically did not touch farmland. As of September 4, 18 hectares of crops were damaged by fire, so the natural disaster will not affect food security and grain export potential.
