The exchange rate of the national currency of Kazakhstan to the dollar at the KASE auction on Monday, October 17, strengthened to 472.9 per $ 1 (minus 3.8). Against the Russian currency, the tenge weakened to 7.54 per 1 ruble (0.01).

Astana exchangers ask for 479 tenge for 1 dollar, 468 tenge for 1 euro, 7.4 tenge for 1 ruble.

Bitcoin rose by 0.82% in a day, to $19,517.

Brent crude is stable, the price hovers around $91.75 per barrel.

World wheat prices are also stable. December futures on the US stock exchange costs $8.6 per bushel.

Andrey Sizov, Director of the SovEcon analytical center, draws attention to the fact that the further dynamics of wheat prices will depend on the outcome of the UN negotiations with Russia on the extension of the grain deal for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea. The talks were held on October 17 in Moscow with the participation of Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin and UN Under-Secretary-General Martin Griffiths.

The deal expires on November 19. The Russian side links its extension with the fulfillment by the United Nations of promises to promote the export of Russian grain and fertilizers to world markets.
