Kazakhstan has harvested 21.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops – this is one of the highest figures in the last 10 years. The country is fully provided with the main types of agricultural products included in the consumer basket. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev at a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan.
According to the press service of Akorda, the president heard a report on the main results of the development of the industry for 9 months. The volume of gross output has increased by 6.9% since the beginning of the year and reached 6.8 trillion tenge.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about the execution of instructions. In particular, more than 5 million hectares of land were returned to the state ahead of schedule, which are mainly transferred to solve the problem of shortage of pasture lands. According to the results of the inspections, land users have started the development of 1.8 million hectares of previously unused land.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of state set a number of tasks to digitalize the agricultural sector, improve the subsidy mechanism, as well as strengthen state support measures for agricultural producers.
