In the North Kazakhstan region in 2023, the total sown area will be 4.5 million hectares.
The head of the USC, Meiram Mendybayev, quoted by the Kazinform agency, clarified that the structure will be distributed as follows:
- cereals and legumes - 3.2 million hectares,
- oilseeds - 964 thousand hectares,
- fodder - 353 thousand hectares.
It is reported that the wheat area will be at the level of 2.5 million hectares (2.4 million hectares - in 2022).
According to the USC, 488.5 thousand tons of seeds were harvested in the North Kazakhstan region.
It is planned to introduce about 200 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers on an area of 3 million hectares. Weed treatment will be carried out on an area of 1.5 million hectares, against pests and diseases - on 894.3 thousand hectares.
The speaker specified that in 2023 the irrigation area will double and amount to more than 5.1 thousand hectares.
By the reporting period, the readiness of the equipment is 95%.
73.6 thousand tons of discounted preferential diesel fuel were allocated to the region for spring field work.
