According to the calculated data, the preliminary optimal sowing dates for spring grain crops are predicted in Kostanay, North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions mainly in the second and third decades of May, in Akmola, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions - in the first and second decade of May. In the Karaganda region, optimal sowing dates are predicted mainly in the second and third decades of May, in Karkaraly and Zhanarkinsky districts - in the first decade of May.
In the East Kazakhstan region, the optimal timing is predicted mainly in the second and third decades of May, in the south of the region - the beginning of sowing at the end of April.
"This forecast is preliminary and will be updated at the end of April according to actual meteorological indicators," forecasters say.
