The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan signed an order “On the introduction of a ban on the import of wheat into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan by road and rail.” Wheat imports will be allowed only to licensed elevators, grain processors and poultry enterprises.
A ban on the import of wheat (code of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Eurasian Economic Union: 100119; 100199) by rail is introduced from October 11 for a period of six months.
A complete ban on the import of wheat by road from third countries and countries of the Eurasian Economic Union has also been extended.
As part of the execution of the order, the Department of Agricultural Markets and Agricultural Products Processing of the Ministry of Agriculture must form and send to the national company KTZ a list of licensed elevators, grain processors and poultry enterprises.
