Chinese Railways does not comply with agreed schedules for unloading Kazakhstani freight trains at Alashankou station. In this regard, as of December 10, the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy company introduced restrictions on loading a wide range of cargo in the direction of Dostyk station. Yesterday, December 20, the loading ban was extended until December 31 for deliveries in grain carriers of wheat, barley, oilseeds, as well as supplies of vegetable oils (sunflower, soybean, rapeseed) in tanks.
Until December 25, loading in covered wagons the same types of grain - wheat, barley and oilseeds, as well as ground products is prohibited.
KTZ reports that 390 grain carriers and 42 tanks have accumulated on the Chinese side of the Alashankou-Dostyk junction. From the Kazakh side, 565 grain carriers and 106 tanks are already moving in the direction of China, loaded with wheat and other agricultural products.
At the same time, KTZ exempts shippers from fines for failure to fulfill the loading plan for the second and third ten days of December.
