Since the end of 2023, KTZ has periodically introduced restrictions on the loading of agricultural products into China. The reason is the low speed of train unloading in China. Since the beginning of January, a complete ban on loading agricultural cargo through the Dostyk-Alashankou junction was introduced.
By a new order, KTZ prohibited the registration and redirection of empty (owned and leased) covered cars, gondola cars and tanks in the direction of China through the Dostyk station for the period from January 25 to February 29 inclusive. The reason is the upcoming New Year celebration in China, as well as the presence of seven trains with empty cars in the direction of China that have been put aside from moving.
