Tokayev proposed transferring local subsidies to ACC 07.02.2024 в 16:54 68 просмотров

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered to review the subsidy scheme for the agricultural sector and create a unified platform for issuing subsidies and loans. The head of state announced this today at an expanded government meeting.

“All government support measures should be provided according to the “one window” principle; it would be advisable to combine the services of specialized financial institutions. It is necessary to strengthen the potential of the Agrarian Credit Corporation and transfer to it the functions of akimats for subsidizing agriculture. To do this, it is necessary to combine the services of preferential lending and subsidies for agricultural entities within one digital platform,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

He also instructed to review the application of the unified land tax, since in practice there are many unresolved issues during its administration. The main condition is that the tax should not only simplify administration, but also take into account the efficiency of land use.

In addition, the president called on the government to pay special attention to the transition from the raw material orientation of the agro-industrial complex to the development of processing of agricultural products. It is necessary to provide comprehensive support to farmers who diversify crops and improve yields.

“In general, the agricultural sector needs large-scale reform aimed at increasing labor productivity through the introduction of new technologies, rational use of land and other resources, as well as increasing the efficiency of benefits and subsidies,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized.
