An additional 240 billion tenge will be allocated for the development of the agro-industrial complex. This was announced during a meeting in the government on the implementation of the president’s instructions, voiced at a meeting of the national kurultai.

According to the government press service, up to 320 billion tenge will be allocated to subsidize SME projects.

In addition, to attract investors, it is planned to provide the territories of 12 special economic and industrial zones with the necessary infrastructure. 160 billion tenge will be allocated for these purposes.

Also, under the “industrial mortgage” mechanism, the creation of eight new small industrial zones for a total amount of 30 billion tenge will be accelerated.

It is reported that at least 70 planned projects will be commissioned this year. In order to develop the manufacturing industry, additional measures will also be developed to increase the utilization of domestic enterprises to an average of 65%.

To develop transit corridors and increase the volume of cargo transportation by all modes of transport, the construction of new railways, logistics centers and warehouses will continue.

“It is planned to increase the volume of cargo transportation by rail to 450 million tons, by road transport to 316 million tons, as well as transit traffic to 30 million tons, including the volume of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route at the level of 4.2 million tons,” - noted in the government.
