The national company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” is introducing increasing coefficients to tariffs for regulated services of the main railway network when transporting goods in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan. This was reported by RZD-Partner.ru.
The coefficients are introduced from April 16 to December 31, 2024 in communications with member states of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. They work in both directions.
The increase affected such items as grains, mineral fertilizers, alcohol and alcoholic beverages, coal, oil, metals and other cargo. The maximum increasing coefficient for a number of positions is 3.0.
Let us note: at the moment, the transit tariff for the transportation of Russian grain to Central Asia is a limiting factor for the massive expansion of these products into traditional sales markets for Kazakhstan.
