The government will abandon subsidies for imported agricultural machinery in the near future 16.05.2024 в 11:51 89 просмотров

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov visited the plant of Kazrost engineering Ltd. in the Akmola region. The head of government announced his intention to soon change the rules of state support for the purchase of agricultural equipment by farmers, the government press service reported.

“Olzhas Bektenov noted the need to give a serious impetus to the development of agricultural machinery. In this direction, the government intends to support domestic enterprises, and is also interested in localizing the production of world leading companies in the industry, using the example of Kazrost engineering Ltd, CLAAS and others, which have already created enterprises for the production of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan. In this regard, new tools to support such enterprises will be introduced in the near future, including by refusing to subsidize imported equipment and increasing subsidies for equipment produced in Kazakhstan,” the press service reported.

During the Prime Minister’s visit, it was noted that the Kazrost company produces up to 1 thousand combines and up to 1 thousand tractors annually. Due to the location of the enterprise in one of the leading grain-growing regions, the products produced are in great demand. The main customer is KazAgroFinance.

Managing Director of Kazrost Engineering Ltd. Daryn Imanmusaev informed about further plans to expand production and increase the model range. In order to deepen localization and increase local content, an additional workshop for the production of cabins, inclined chambers and hooding will be built and equipped with modern equipment. At the moment, design and pre-project documentation is being processed.

Let us recall that at the initiative of the Ministry of Industry in Kazakhstan, amendments to the Rules for subsidizing the agro-industrial complex and leasing of agricultural machinery were developed. They assume a complete abolition of subsidies for imported equipment, while the leasing rate for it will be increased from 6% to 15%.

During a public discussion of the draft new rules, more than 100 farmers of Kazakhstan sent an appeal to Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and members of parliament with a request not to limit state support for the acquisition of high-performance imported equipment, which has a number of undeniable advantages in comparison with Kazakh or Russian counterparts.
