A pool of 91 investment projects worth 446.9 billion tenge has been formed in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan. The priority areas are the processing of meat, milk, grain and the development of greenhouse farming, the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

As Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangaliy Berdalin said at a government meeting, active work is underway through the Agrarian Credit Corporation on 43 projects worth 81.6 billion tenge. In particular, financing in the amount of 800 million tenge has already been provided for the construction of a meat processing plant in Aktau. Four more projects have been partially financed for a total loan amount of 1.7 billion tenge; documents are being collected for the rest.

Through the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, financing for 14 projects worth 285 billion tenge has not yet begun. At the same time, the DBK poultry farming pool includes four large projects to expand the capacity of poultry farms, which together will provide the country with almost 200 thousand additional tons of chicken per year. These are Prima Kus LLP in the Almaty region (third stage for 35 thousand tons per year), Aitas.kz in the Almaty region for 120 thousand tons per year, Alel Agro JSC in Zhambyl for 25 thousand tons and CHK Canadian Chicken Limited in the Akmola region at 12.5 thousand tons per year. The implementation period is 2025-2026.

According to the government, the volume of poultry meat production in Kazakhstan today is 328 thousand tons per year. An additional 200 thousand tons will help resolve the issue of import dependence on these products and their export.

In addition, Halyk Bank, with a total pool of 34 projects for 78.5 billion tenge, financed three projects for 1.4 billion tenge. Five more projects worth 11 billion tenge were approved. For the rest, documents are being collected.

The meeting also reviewed projects aimed at developing livestock farming using the Australian method: today there are 41 of them in the pool. To launch new production this year, funding in the amount of 48.6 billion tenge is required, of which 6.9 billion tenge will be allocated to projects irrigation of fodder crops.
