Since the beginning of the year, farmers in Kazakhstan have submitted 45.5 thousand applications for subsidies, of which 20.7 thousand have already been approved in the amount of 114.7 billion tenge. The remaining applications are being considered by regional agricultural departments. Of the total volume of applications, large enterprises account for 25%, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
According to the department, 90 thousand active users are registered in the state subsidy information system. State support is provided in 14 areas.
“The launch of the state system made it possible to increase the coverage of state support measures for farmers from 19% to 32.2%. The number of recipients of state support among small and medium-sized farms is increasing, and only 25% of approved applications come from large legal entities,” the Ministry of Agriculture noted.
In total, more than 270 thousand agricultural producers are registered in the country, over 18 thousand of them are large legal entities, the rest are small and medium-sized peasant farms.
Also, in addition to paying subsidies, the Unified State Register provides a service for the distribution of cheaper diesel fuel for sowing, harvesting and grain drying. All processes of separating, moving, and accounting for diesel fuel residues are automated.
