The first North-South transport trade and export forum will be held on July 19-20, 2024 in Aktau under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin. This was reported by the QazTrade center.
The forum will be attended by representatives of government bodies and quasi-governmental organizations, business circles, railway administrations, manufacturers, exporters, transport and logistics and other companies from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Turkmenistan and UAE.
“The forum will serve as a platform for discussing current issues in the development of railways, roads, and ports with the participation of the main players in the North-South transport corridor.” Special attention will be paid to the development of the export potential of agricultural products, including grain exports,” reports QazTrade.
Forum participants will discuss the development of railway and road transport
routes, port development and other logistics issues. In addition, an exhibition “Trade and Export Potential of Kazakhstan” will be organized on the sidelines of the forum.
Participants of the event will also be able to hold negotiations and visit the ports of Aktau and Kuryk.
The organizer of the forum is the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
