The Ministry of Agriculture is preparing to launch a new program of preferential lending to enterprises engaged in the processing of agricultural products. This was announced at a briefing in the Central Communications Service by the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erbol Taszhurekov.
The Vice Minister recalled that this year the government adopted a comprehensive plan for the development of agricultural processing until 2028.
“A new program of preferential lending at 5% per annum will be launched in the near future for agricultural processing enterprises for the purchase of domestic raw materials. The issue of allocating the first 30 billion tenge for these purposes is currently being worked out,” said Erbol Taszhurekov.
He said that in 2025 direct subsidizing of financial institutions will begin, and agricultural producers will immediately receive cheaper loans without having to apply for subsidies. This direction will be tested for processing enterprises for the acquisition of working capital.
In addition, in 2025, 200 billion tenge will be allocated for preferential financing of investment projects based on the experience of the North Kazakhstan region. 122 enterprises will receive loans.
“In 2023, 100 billion tenge was allocated from the budget for these purposes. Thanks to this, 60 dairy farms are being built in 11 regions. This will additionally ensure the production of 373 tons of milk,” noted Yerbol Taszhurekov.
