As part of the diversification of export markets, Kazakhstan has focused on expanding export destinations, including Central Asia, China, the European Union, Southeast Asia, as well as the markets of North Africa and the Middle East. In order to adapt the export strategy to the requirements of these markets, the Grain Union of Kazakhstan began to actively study the specifics of demand for agricultural products.
On September 10, 2024, a meeting was held between representatives of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan Mohammed Elgazali Eltijani Sirraj.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the agricultural potential of Sudan and the export opportunities of Kazakhstan.
The talks discussed prospects for international cooperation, including expanding trade and increasing grain exports from Kazakhstan to Sudan, as well as joint efforts in developing technologies and exchanging experience.
Both countries see significant potential in the agricultural sector. Kazakhstan, being one of the leading grain producers in the world, sees Sudan as a promising export market. In turn, Sudan has rich natural resources and seeks to develop its agriculture to ensure food security and make agriculture more sustainable and efficient.
The parties expressed their readiness to cooperate and noted that such joint efforts can create new opportunities for both countries in the international agro-industrial market.
