Kazakhstan's wheat market hits bottom 26.09.2024 в 14:39 14 просмотров

The international grain conference Agricom is taking place today, September 25, in Astana.

Wheat prices will rise, as indicated by all fundamental factors. This was stated by Evgeniy Karabanov, head of the analytical committee of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan.

According to him, the situation on the Russian market has a strong influence on Kazakhstan. At the same time, Russian wheat is currently undervalued due to political reasons. At the same time, grain exports from Russia are active, precisely because of their cheapness. And this leads to a decrease in grain reserves in the Russian Federation. In addition, dry conditions in the fall threaten to disrupt the sowing of winter crops in a number of regions of Russia. Everything is moving towards the fact that there is a small volume of free grain left on the Russian market. This will inevitably lead to higher prices.

Ukraine is also actively working for export, and its reserves are also rapidly declining.

— The scenario that Kazakhstani grain will go to Russia in February–March is not excluded, — Evgeniy Karabanov noted. — Who will trigger price growth in our country?

Experts agreed that there is no point in actively dumping grain on the market now. It needs to be stored in anticipation of a better market situation. Prices have already begun to move up on foreign markets.

The event was organized by GMS.
