The annual production volume of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan is 263 billion tenge, and is expected to grow to 300 billion tenge in 2025. 9 out of 10 purchased tractors and combines are assembled in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the President of the Union of Industrial Investors Kairat Yelamanov at a government meeting.
“The decision to subsidize farmers when purchasing domestic agricultural machinery this year is already achieving an effect: the interest of foreign manufacturers in localization will positively affect the growth of production and increase in the range of agricultural machinery. Currently, substantive negotiations are underway with foreign manufacturers on the localization of previously imported machinery at existing sites. This will increase both the volume of production and jobs in 2025,” Kairat Yelamanov noted.
In particular, according to him, it is planned to localize AMAZONE seeding equipment, ZOOMLION tractors, and SAMPO combines.
"In the agricultural engineering industry, tractors and grain harvesters are manufactured at 8 enterprises, which already fully meet the annual demand of farmers for this equipment. More than 20 enterprises are engaged in the production of trailed and mounted agricultural machinery and equipment. Import dependence on it is decreasing annually. Next year, manufacturers plan to master operations for the production of grain bins, inclined chambers, crushers and combine cabins," the government noted.
The country's largest localization center for agricultural engineering in Kostanay annually produces 25 thousand units of units, assemblies, components and spare parts for agricultural machinery and the automotive industry.
