Dredging works have been completed in the port of Kuryk. According to the press service of KTZ, at the moment the depth of the water area and in the approach channel of the port is from 7 to 8 m, which allows to increase the passage draft of vessels processed in the port and achieve their full loading.
As noted, dredging works created conditions for further expansion of the terminal capacities of the port. These works are part of the comprehensive measures taken within the framework of the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route and will ensure servicing of the growing needs for cargo transportation on this route.
The design capacity of the port of Kuryk is 6 million tons of cargo per year, of which 4.1 million tons are rail transportation and 1.9 million tons are transportation of vehicles.
