In June, grain reserves in Kazakhstan dropped beyond 4 million tonnes, but in the last month of June of the 2018–19 season, the grain was spent on domestic and export needs little compared with other periods. In May, stocks of almost all major grains declined to a greater extent, given the additional cost of grain for the sowing campaign. As previously reported, the cost of the June planting season was significantly lower than in May, but still a significant part of the grain in June went to the sowing campaign - more than 25% of the total decline. For the rest, less than 1 million cereals were spent on food, fodder and export purposes.
For individual crops in June, in relative terms, barley lost the most - more than a third of the previous stocks, and the mixture of cereals was almost 30%. And millet and rye for the entire month used less than one thousand tonnes.
Grain stocks at the beginning of the year - 14465559 tonnes and decreased over the month by 1328793 tonnes or 8.4%. As of February 1 of this year, 11867608 tonnes of grain were recorded in Kazakhstan, and reserves declined by 2597951 tonnes or 18%.
